[Traduction : Camille Aunis pour Planète Urgence]TAS - Timely Aiding Society, a registered NGO having a centre working for the marginlised women groups in rural and urban areas in and around Pondicherry, formerly a French Colony, South India. We have been identified by PU – Planete Urgence, an NGO working for the welfare and development of human resources in across the world. The ever first training given by Ms. Carine A., an International Volunteer to TAS through Planète Urgence is remarkable in the history of TAS’s developmental activities with the women groups. The training and interaction programme were very much helpful to our artisans who are merely do not about the exposure of the products in the International markets and do not have skills on communication to the customers directly. These basic ideologies of communication to the customers, customer’s attitude towards colour trends, usage of the products etc, were identified through the Volunteers received from PU. They discussed with the beneficiaries on the basis of SWOT analysis - Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, and Treats of Timely Aiding Society. In fact the newly designed bags during the training have attracted the German Fair Trade buyer called El Punte and we got a certain sum. The second and third training programme given by Mr. Marc and Ms. Sabrina was wonderful which narrated and trained us to a International Standard of Education to the aspect of explaining the analysis of Sales and Production of our products for the past three years which is good for the future planning of TAS on marketing of the products. The second Volunteers have also developed many samples for the winter season. The samples were made out of Recycled materials, which are right now displayed for the selection for the International buyers. And right now we have received news from our export facilitator that for the recycled materials based products good order has been received from Germany, Spain and from Italy. The fourth volunteer Mr. Matthieu’s visit to TAS was highly helpful and he has mainly focused on administrative aspects which is wonderful. He has also designed a eco friendly bag in jute materials and the samples are being sent to him for order canvassing for TAS. Such activity is also helpful to our artisans for a continuous employment opportunity. We take this great opportunity to thank and ever think Planète Urgence for their timely partnership with our Society TAS in over coming the fields of communication skills, identifying the customers’ attitude on trends and marketing of selected products through the Volunteers and improved a lot on designing and marketing of our Fair Trade Bags which are eco friendly. We wish to cooperate along with them in eradicating the poverty in our part of India and through out the WORLD! M. Rajendran* |
