About Planète Urgence

Founded in 2000 and oriented towards on-site action, Planète Urgence is one of the rare French NGOs to work simultaneously on issues of development and protection of the environment in the poorest countries. Its overall mission is to fight against inequalities between the North and the South.

To carry out its actions, Planète Urgence developed an innovative model of solidarity: the 'Congé Solidaire', which permits all citizens, with (or without) the help of their company, to go on a mission of international solidarity during their time off.

To complete their actions, Planète Urgence develops special programs: The 'School Kits' operation for disadvantaged children as well as 'Climate Change and Sustainable Development' programs.
